Set in a mysterious and abstract sterile environment, Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) is a first-person puzzle game that challenges players to navigate each level by manipulating coloured cubes that surround them. There’s little to go on as the game begins – the player is dropped into an all-white room with few instructions, and simply has to figure their way out. The tone of game changes as the player finds small and big alterations to their environment, supported by an original score, inviting each player to let their imagination take over as to where they might be. Through experimentation and discovery, players will progress through an ever-evolving series of cube puzzles that will challenge them with logic, physics, platforming.

My Comments:

   This game was surprisingly fun to play, definitely a game worth its price. There are many levels and objectives to do, there are also “power ups” that you can get after destroying an enemy. So over all this game is definitely fun to play.

After a mutant virus turns people into the walking dead, you make your way through the city and countryside killing mutants along the way.

You get to drive some vehicles during this game, which is fun to run down the zombies.  Working together on the multi-player mode has it’s advantages, as well as disadvantages.  The advantages are obvious….two players against the massive number of zombies at different times.  I would say the only disadvantage would be you don’t get all the points/money for killing the undead.

You can also take the speedy route and purchase different packages that looks like it will give you some awesome upgrades.

This is a must have for anyone who likes tower defense games…cough…like me.  You could upgrade your weapons to perform better after beating each level, which I didn’t realize until playing a few rounds.

If the game seems to go too slow for you, hit the fast forward button in the top right of the screen.

Be careful not to let too many enemies through, or you will die.  For each one that gets to your base, you lose a heart.

The co-op mode is a lot of fun, If you get stuck with the guy in the wheelchair….maybe not as much.  But at least you can use a pistol to thwart oncoming attacks from the undead.

For 10 bucks retail, I’d say it’s worth it.  Catch it on sale for $7.99 if you hurry through steam.  Good luck and see you in game!

My Comments:

This game is awesome, very nice graphics, but at the same time it does not use much processing from the graphics card so pretty much anyone can play this game. One set back is that if you decide to play with a Game Pad or a xbox/ps3 controller, you will have to do some modifying to be able to play with these controllers.

You will have to install this to your SSF4 Directory, there will be instruction on how to do it, which is also included in the download.

But I can tell you this game is one with a little twist.  It begins as any other normal tower defense game, and soon you realize that you as the player have to play as the first person shooter to complete the objective.

If you love fps or first person shooter games, and tower games….this one is for you!  I absolutely love this game.  I thought nothing could compare to defense grid, until I played this game.

Hopping from the top of the blocks to gun down enemies and make sure they don’t steal the cores has never been more fun.

This game adds a little twist that I haven’t been used to…..and that’s an anti-air perspective.  On the later levels…if you don’t plan for the air attack, you will get screwed in the backside, if you know what I mean.

This game was o.k. in my opinion.  As one of the ghostbusters, you have to run around eliminating the ghosts and goblins and stay alive.  One mistake I made was not getting a weapon upgrade.  With the computer playing as my teammate(s), I was able to stay alive and help them advance through the levels of the game.  But it would have been easier, had I upgraded my weapon like the computer teammates did.

I took the approach of running and gunning my way through to see how far I could get before dying the first time.  It was a fun game.  If you like the music from ghostbusters and like to run around zapping them into oblivion, you will like this game.

If you like the game, you can also buy it on their site, or they have a lot of other gaming platforms where you can purchase the game as well.  Like Steam, Impulse, Direct 2 Drive, Get Games, GamersGate, and Desura.

Controlling the little clones along the way wasn’t very difficult.  If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive game to play, this may be one you would want to check out.  You can use your clones to spin and fly, make bridges, “clob”  through a wall, drill down, and make stairs to avoid untimely deaths to name a few.
